Alexis & Ava

Once again, I get to brag on my cute family. The same weekend I took the shots of Blake (see post dated August 14) I also got to shoot his cousins, Alexis and Ava. That was almost a perfect weekend...hanging out with my cousins Zack and Brian, and taking pics of their adorable children!! The only thing that might have made the weekend better would've been if my cousins Sara and Luke were there too. ;-) I've decided that, as much fun as it would be, it might not be such a good thing if I lived close to any of these cousins...all of my time would be dedicated to shooting and editing their kids! ;-) Enjoy the adorable Ava and the beautiful Alexis!!

Stephanie & Casey

Stephanie and Casey are getting married in October in Keokuk, Iowa. I got to shoot their engagement photos a couple of weeks ago. They are a lot of fun and I can't wait to see them again at their wedding...I'm even more excited because they are getting married at the church I grew up in and the pastor marrying them was in my high school youth group. Should be a great time!!

Casey had heard about this old stone bridge in Quincy, IL. It took us awhile to find it, but it was totally worth it!! The location was perfect and I hope to get to shoot there again.

Frustrating...

I've been editing quite a few photos...and every day I try to upload more pics for you to see. Unfortunately, something isn't working with blogger, and I can't get any up here. I haven't forgotten and I have a ton to show you...just having trouble. Be patient with me! ;-)

Fun, but weird...

A couple of weeks ago, I got to photograph the Campbell family in Iowa. They were great and I had a blast hanging out with Tara, Chad and the kids. What caused the "weird" in the title of this post?? Well, Tara and I went to the same high school youth group. I'm unable to make it back "home" very often, so I haven't seen her for quite a few years...so it was weird to see her all grown up with her own family!!! Guess I'm supposed to be all grown up too, eh?!?!

Thanks, Tara for giving me the chance to meet and hang out with your family!! Can't wait to see you guys again next time I'm in town.

Dancers

I got the opportunity to hang out with a good friend of mine, who also used to work for me back in my coffeehouse or "church bartender" days. She is starting a dance studio and I'm working on some of the photography for her website as well as, eventually, some of the shots that will be displayed in her studio. I had a blast hanging out with the dancers and the instructors. I will forever be in awe of the stuff they can do!!!!

Blake Chase

Katie here again!! First, a quick update on me. I am officially a Nashvillian. The house is a disaster, but as of yesterday, I've got a fridge, washer, and dryer, so I'm good to go!! The fixing of the house is taking a backseat to the photos I've got to edit. I should have a ton for you to look at in the near future.

I am biased, I know, but isn't he just adorable?!?!?! Blake is the son of my cousin Zack and his wife Amy. He is an absolute joy...so stinkin' funny!! Happy almost 2nd Birthday, Blake!! He is the most sports-lovingest 2 year old I've ever hung out with. At 18 months, he didn't want to watch any cartoons..."Football!!" he kept telling me. I found some highlights on ESPN and sat down to watch, but no....."Football GAME!!!" he started yelling. How can an 18 month old know the difference between highlights and a game?!?! You'd better watch out for this one! ;-)
